Catering services at Alfred State are delivered by ACES. We focus on making every event special and unique, no matter the size or complexity. Our service is unmatched in the Southern Tier. On-campus venues and the private Lake Lodge provide a perfect backdrop to an event that features meals and snacks that you will be proud to serve your guests. In addition to providing great food, we can even provide conference and event planning services.

Special Event Catering
The ACES team can create a special affair that is unique for every customer. The Lake Lodge is a perfect backdrop for every type of event. Custom menu planning is available.
Example menu entrees include: Artichoke Parmesan Chicken, Sage Roasted Turkey Breast, Chicken Marsal, Haddock Filet, Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Herb Crusted Roast Beef.

CAMPUS OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY
ACES, Auxiliary campus Enterprises and Services, Is the contracted food service provider for Alfred State College. ACES maintains the health permit from the state of New York and all required insurance for the Alfred State campuses.
All food items provided to the general population on the Alfred campus must be discussed with the Dining Services department of ACES. This includes all potential outside vendors of any food product and food prepared outside of the ACES kitchen facilities which will be served to the campus community. The reason for the policy is to ensure safe food handling, preparation, holding temperatures of food and service for guests and the campus community.
There is an approval process in place to allow outside food vendors to serve on the Alfred campus. The policy requires proper health permit records and liability insurance presented to ACES within 2 weeks of the event. Approval is required prior to any organization advertising to the general campus community.
Additional options would be working with Dining Services on utilizing specific recipes and consulting with clubs on requirements for the food event. Dining Services wants to work with all organizations on personalizing your event and the special touches required to make them unique. Assistance is available to create specific flavors and food experiences for your event.

Lake Lodge
The Lake Lodge is a facility owned by ACES. Originally owned and constructed by the Faculty Student Association, the facility can be used for social events and meetings. It is open year-round.
The Lodge is located just 1.5 miles from campus and is available to the public. A fireplace, an enclosed porch, a bar, audio/video connections, and a small catering kitchen are some of the amenities. The Lodge can host up to 200 guests for events. All events must be catered by ACES.

Lodge Event Usage Fee: $300
Extra Day Usage Fee: $200
(if you require an extra day)
Ceremony Fee: $200
(if you plan to have your ceremony on-site)
Caterer’s Alcohol Permit: $ 60 (if you plan to have alcohol served at your event)
